    You saved my day. Bought one of these a couple years ago. Circumstances lead to me just now installing it. Opened up all the boxes and found no instructions. Your link to Lowe’s lead me to downloadable instructions. Thank you so much for the video and links to the product. The video was also helpful.

    Totally unsafe and against code. Don't try to sell your house anytime soon because they are going to make you fix it. Try lowering your sensors down to 6 inches like they are supposed to instead of 10 or add a shade block above the eye. Lastly store your junk somewhere and move your photo eyes back.

      Too late, sold that house this year. The sensor relocation wasn't even on the report from the inspection. It's only unsafe if you don't have a brain. If it becomes a problem at my new home I'll do exactly the same thing again. If my sensors were mounted too high as you mention, that's on the "professional installer" that installed the opener. The previous owner had problems with this door as well. I cured the problem and the opener worked flawlessly once I made the modification I show in the video. It was nice to have a garage door opener that would work when you hit the button.

    He made A good video on how not to do it? Due to ground movement. You need a minimum of 3 inches cement. You should prep the area using bass rock and it should be compact down with a Jack plate. Your Rebar should be Criss. Cross. And wire tied together. And use spacing blocks to raise it. Off the ground. To the mid area. Always do your homework. Watch More than 1 video. Some videos are very helpful on the right way. How to do things? You can tell the videos that people don't have a clue. Do your homework. Do your homework. And do your homework. Before you start your project

    I did a 13 x 8 foot wet-pour pad by myself and it was less work than this. The screening took a whole 10 minutes, bull float another 10 minutes, then after waiting about an hour or so I mag floated for 30 minutes. What is so hard about adding water before?

    Needs a tighter arc length and travel speed is too slow, you shouldn't really have to to side to side on something like that just a steady smooth slight forward and backwards, forward an 1/8" backwards 1/16" no pausing... if it's not covering the joint, then your amperage is too low. If it's cooking the joint, then your travel speed is too slow

    That is one thing nice about the big expensive welders. They only run the fan when they have been used for a while and need cooling vs the little ones running the fan most or all of the time.

    As long as a cell is not shorted or open, you will get 12.3 V out of a 12 V lead acid battery if it has has any charge put into it. You can not determine the charge of a battery by testing the voltage unless you put a decent load on the battery. UA-cam must think you have a lot of gullible people watching your videos. I saw the most ridiculous advertisements while watching this video. One was even selling perpetual energy. They must have graduated from the Obama School of Physics where he claims that energy can be invented.

    Thank you for the video. Good explanations and direct to the point. I liked and subbed. Its funny. I bought a similar part for under 20. Talked to 2-3 other people and the one neighbor says - just buy a new stove/oven. Well, he's probably sitting on a million unless his kids got most of it. I can't afford to think every time something goes down I will just buy a new one. If he wants to live like the million dollar man he is he should move to a neighborhood like that. This isn't that place. Its a throw-away culture and society and I think we will pay the price long-term for being that way. I always try to fix everything I possibly can.

Just seems a-lot easier to just mix with water & good to go. Next time you make a recipe, cake, salad- whatever/ Just throw everything in a bowl & call it a day…….. don’t mix it, nothen. A quick google search would of told you portland cement needs to be mixed with an aggregate. This is the equivalent of I'm not reading the manual/instructions or stopping to ask for directions when lost! 😂😂😂 This is not a new phenomenon (lots of men do this) and I'm sure this isn't the first time this has happened or last time either. Some people just refuse to break free from this mentality. I wonder what would of happened if you mixed the portland cement with a fine aggregate like sand?!?! 😂😂 you were so close! It's funny when people give me shit for actually reading manuals and researching instead of just winging it! It's a ego or pride thing? Reading manuals bad! Some people refuse to say "I don't know". I hate working with these type of co workers.

    I did my very first dry pour this past weekend. I used 17 bags of concrete (I could have used one more). I am concerned I didn't water it enough. I have watched several videos about dry pouring so I will see how it turns our. I figure I am going to leave it a couple days to cure before removing the frame.

    This is the best video walkthrough on how to do this. I ordered the part with the connector so didn't have to clip anything. Also might want to get some more shrink tubing (grey rubber around terminal because my original was destroyed. End up finding some though at Walmart. So for less than $50 fixed my own oven. This area doesn't see much water really so I'm thinking it will be just fine. The silicone I used is supposedly good for 10 years if applied properly. I have high hopes :) I appreciate your input!

    Mine also slightly different. Don't take out pan below burner. Remove storage drawer to reach igniter connector (Paring knife or small standard screwdriver to release connector lock.) Remove one screw front and one screw back attaching burner. Igniter comes out with burner. Install new igniter to burner. Reinstall burner (look through storage drawer opening to ensure that burner sets properly on gas jet.) and reinstall two screws that mount burner. Connect igniter by reaching through storage drawer opening. Reinstall first two pans (deflector and oven bottom) with the screws for each that were removed. Problem of forever preheat solved. Wife happy. Total time 20 minutes (due to differences) Thank you for the video!!!

      A bit more information Ordered from Sears PartsDirect. A bit more pricey at $116.41, $138.63 with rates and shipping. But...made in USA, same high temperature insulation on leads, and exact same connector. Painless installation. Have been through cheap Chinese imitations before and choose not to go through the waste of time, money, and pain.

    Ya know what bugs me. Is you wanted some contractors time getting a estimate when you KNOW dang wel you were not going to hire him/her. Wasting peoples time=money. That's why so many are charging for estimates now.

    • @DIYHomesteadProjectsDIYHP10
      @DIYHomesteadProjectsDIYHP10 7 днів тому

      You are making an INCORRECT assumption. We had every intention of hiring the company that gave the estimate until we heard the price they were charging. Had it been a REASONABLE estimate they likely would have had the job. The overinflated price we were quoted is what prompted us to look at alternative solutions and thus the process you see in the video. I have never heard of a company like this charging for an estimate and if they did, they wouldn't be getting my business. You shouldn't let it bug you especially based on an incorrect assumption.

      I certainly understand where you're coming from. There are a lot of tire kickers out there, but just the same, business must be so good for some of these contractors that they can afford to overcharge. It's like if they can't screw you, they don't want your business. It's turning a lot of people into do-it-yourselfers

    I use these as a painter . We stay in one spot a long time , so put down something like a drop or cardboard etc where your feet dig in so you don't wear down the shingles , especially on a hot day. I can't tell you how many times I've seen worn out patches from the previous painters or other trades . But staple down your drop (lightweight staples are fine) or it will slide resulting in what I call a "Magic Carpet Ride )
